If for some reason you need to restore the BIOS settings of your Zotac computer, these are the settings we use (system date should be the current date & time of course):
To enter the BIOS:
- connect a keyboard
- power on the PC
- repeatedly press ESC or Delete until you enter the BIOS setup.
Zotac BIOS settings
Re: Zotac BIOS settings
Thanks! This is exactly what I needed when my BIOS battery died.
Re: Zotac BIOS settings
When the CMOS battery dies, the Zotac doesn't boot anymore, and even doesn't show anything on screen (which is unusual).
The CMOS battery inside the Zotac is shrink wrapped and has cables and a connector attached, which plugs into the motherboard.
To get to the battery, you have to remove the whole case and flip the motherboard over, and then remove the small USB daughter board with 2 USB ports.
We advice to replace this as a whole (battery/cable/connector) to prevent potentially dangerous damage to the battery when trying to solder a replacement.
If you can't find a replacement, Dutch Pinball has some in stock too.
